Welcome to 3in1: Notes, Expense & Journal (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our mobile application (the “App”).

By downloading and using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Our App is designed with your privacy at its core. The information we handle can be categorized as follows:

a) Information You Provide Directly: All the data you create and input into the App is considered your personal information. This includes:

• • Notes: Any text, lists, or content you save as a note.

• • Expense Records: Details about your expenses, such as amount, category, date, and description.

• • Journal Entries: Your personal thoughts, reflections, and entries you write in the journal.

b) Automatically Collected Information (Usage Data): To help us improve the App, we may collect anonymous, non-personally identifiable information about your device and how you use the App. This may include:

• • Device Information: Device type, operating system version.

• • Usage Data: Features you interact with, session duration, and crash reports. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.

2. Data Storage

All your personal data (notes, expenses, and journal entries) is stored locally on your device only.

We do not have servers to store this information, and we do not have access to it. Your data is contained within the App’s private storage on your phone or tablet. If you uninstall the App, this data may be permanently deleted from your device.

3. How We Use Your Information

The information collected is used for the following purposes:

• • To Provide and Maintain the App: Your locally stored data is used to provide the core functionality of the App—saving your notes, tracking your expenses, and maintaining your journal.

• • To Improve the App: Anonymous usage and crash data help us understand which features are popular, identify bugs, and enhance the user experience.

• • To Provide Customer Support: If you contact us for support, we will use the information you provide (like your email address and description of the issue) to assist you.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your personal information (notes, expenses, journal entries) with any third parties. Since this data is stored only on your device, we do not have the ability to share it. The only third-party service integrated into the app is Google AdMob, used to display ads as described in the Advertising section below. Your notes, expenses, and journal content are never shared with AdMob or any advertiser.

Anonymous, aggregated usage data may be used for analytical purposes but will never be linked to your personal identity.

5. Data Security

We are committed to protecting your data. However, you are responsible for the security of your own device. The security of your data within the App depends on you keeping your device secure (e.g., using a strong passcode, not installing malicious software). We are not responsible for any data loss or exposure resulting from a security breach of your device.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to remove that information.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Effective Date” at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

8. Advertising

This app displays ads through Google AdMob, including banner, interstitial, and rewarded ad formats. To serve and measure these ads, Google and its advertising partners may collect your device’s advertising identifier, general device information, and approximate location. This may include personalized advertising based on your device’s ad settings.

You can review or opt out of personalized advertising at any time in your device settings (on Android: Settings > Google > Ads; on iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking). Learn more about how Google handles this data at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

9. Backup and Export

The app lets you back up your data to local storage on your device, and export it by sharing a file through your device’s native share sheet. When you export, you choose the destination yourself – email, cloud storage, messaging apps, or elsewhere. We have no access to, and no control over, what happens to your data once you’ve shared it.

10. Notifications and Reminders

If you enable reminders (for journaling, logging expenses, individual notes, or “On This Day” journal memories), they are scheduled entirely on your device using your device’s local notification system. Enabling reminders does not send any data to us or anyone else.

11. Sign-In

The app’s sign-in flow does not connect to an external identity provider. No credentials are transmitted to or stored on a remote server.

12. Permissions We Request

Depending on your device and OS version, the app may request permission to send notifications (for reminders) and to access local storage (to save backup and export files). We only use these permissions for the features described above.

13. Your Rights and Choices

Because your notes, expenses, and journal entries are stored only on your device and never on our servers, we hold no copy of this data to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in your device settings, permanently removes it.
